Book Review - Last Call at the Nightshade Lounge

4 stars
Bailey just got out of college, she doesn't have friends or a job. But everything changes when Zane, her childhood friend, and occasional hook-up in high school, introduces her to a new kind of bartending, her monsters turn out to be way more literal than she thought. Without a doubt, Bailey was my favorite character, she is witty, intelligent, and a bit confused about adulthood. All characters were very well written, I especially liked all the representation and different characters the book shows us.
I was hooked with this story to the beginning, it was such a cool concept with lots of plot twists. I did enjoy this story. Also, the fighting scenes were amazing, my heart was pounding while I read. This book made me laugh so hard, I loved the sense of humor of the author, one of the best! But I never promised you a rose garden, I had some issues with the romance and the love interest. I didn't like him, I didn't think he and Bailey were right to each other nor do I like it when they started by cheating on his girlfriend. She was a character I didn't understand at all and was very hard to sympathize in my opinion.
I'd recommend this book for older readers who enjoy alcohol or the ones who like urban fantasies with lots of demons and fighting bad guys. This book was one of a kind, I never read any book with such an interesting and different plot. That's it, bye.
